Traditional Wedding Ceremony

The story of the bride and groom’s first encounter at the wedding Mandap is depicted in the wedding ceremony. The bride’s parents give her to an honourable man, and after the couple makes their vows to one another in front of the sacred fire, they take seven oaths to the union. After that, blessings from friends and family are extended to them.

Haldi is a very common ceremony in most Indian communities. The primary ingredient is turmeric, and the elderly female members of the bride’s and groom’s families apply the paste to them both before washing them with holy water.

The Sangeet is a joyful ritual in which the two families gather together to dance and sing traditional songs while improving their aquatinted skin. Folk songs welcoming the groom’s family will be sung by the bride’s family.

In the Indian tradition of Mehendi, the bride and groom apply henna to their hands, creating intricate, artistic designs. Mehendi is believed to uplift spirits and bring happiness to a couple. According to legend, the more in love a couple is, the darker the colour of their henna.

Weddings are great, but what would be a party without wild dance routines from your relatives, friends, and siblings? A group dance performance at a wedding may be a memorable feature, featuring everything from upbeat family dance music to amazing group dances by the groomsmen.
